I know that a lot of people don’t trust insurance agents simply because they are sales people but what you need to understand is that every insurance agent wants your business long term and therefore they will do what is best for you in the meantime. This is more of a equality requirement but the truth is that it is still a requirement.

Another thing that your agent might not tell you is that there are discounts that you can get. Some agents don’t tell you that you have a discount coming because they get paid a percentage of what you pay so the more you pay the more they will make. Although not every agent is like this, many commission jobs require younger agents to think this way. If you are nervous about this happening to you I would recommend using an older agent that you know will take care of you for the long haul.
